Orison Swett Marden (b. New England, 1850- d. 1924) is an American writer. Marden graduated from Boston University in 1871. He later graduated from Harvard with a M.D. in 1881 and an LL.B. degree in 1882. Marden also studied at the Boston School of Oratory. Pushing to the Front was published in 1894 and was Marden's first book. He wrote several more books and also founded Success Magazine in 1897. Self help books written by Orison Swett Marden
