Janet Ross is an Irish painter best-known for her landscapes and still lifes. She held a solo exhibition, Disappearing Landscape,at the State-owned Glebe Gallery in County Donegal in 2005, and her works were a starting point for the BBC Radio 3 documentary Landscape Without White Bungalow [www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/factual/pip/mfyex]. Now living in Ramelton in County Donegal, she is married to the journalist and musician Martin McGinley and they have two children. Early in 2007 Janet started the Ross Fine Art gallery in Ramelton [1], which was officially opened by the leading Irish art historian Professor Anne Crookshank [www.ireland.com/newspaper/ property/2007/0628/1182943165049.html][2]
